A folded handle is cut and folded from the bag itself, so there is no separate handle to glue on. That makes the bag cheaper to produce at volume and completely flat in storage.
It carries less weight than a twisted or rope handle, so it suits lighter orders: food, single garments, printed matter. For heavier loads we would point you at twisted handles or a rope handle bag.
Because the handle is part of the bag, the whole thing is one material, which keeps disposal simple for the customer holding it.
