Take the largest box you stock, measure it, and add a little for the hand going in. A bag that a box has to be forced into tears at the seam on the way out of the shop.
If you sell two or three box sizes, a two-size bag range usually works out cheaper than one oversized bag for everything.
Two boxes is a real load. Twisted handles carry more than folded ones, and a rope handle carries most. The paper weight matters as much as the handle - tell us the heaviest likely purchase.
